Little Belt

The Petite Ceinture, or Little Belt, is a thirty-two-kilometer circular railway line that once ringed Paris. You can identify its path through the nineteenth arrondissement by the presence of disused, overgrown rail tracks that often sit in sunken stone-walled trenches or emerge on elevated bridges crossing the city streets.
