Hôtel de Boisgelin (Rue de Varenne, Paris)

The Hôtel de Boisgelin, located at forty-seven to forty-nine Rue de Varenne, is a private mansion built in seventeen thirty-two by the architect Jean-Sylvain Cartaud. Designed for Gérard Heusch de Janvry, a secretary to the King of France, the building is organized in a U-shape between a courtyard and a garden. Its exterior features stone bands framing arched windows and carved masks at the keystones of the bays.
