Hôtel Matignon Garden

The Hôtel Matignon, located at fifty-seven Rue de Varenne, is recognized by the imposing gate that guards its entrance in the seventh arrondissement. Since the nineteen thirties, this eighteenth-century private mansion has functioned as the official residence and workplace of the French Prime Minister. Designed by architect Jean Courtonne and completed in seventeen twenty-five, the building features a baroque facade with a segmented cupola and lion reliefs above its central windows.
