The Galerie Louise Leiris is recognized as the successor to the Galerie Simon, a pivotal institution in the history of twentieth-century modern art. Originally established in nineteen twenty by the art dealer Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler, the business served as a primary outlet for the Cubist movement. Kahnweiler acted as a mentor and exclusive promoter for artists including Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Juan Gris, and Fernand Léger.
