Weißfrauenkirche

The Weißfrauenkirche on Gutleutstraße is a mid-twentieth-century building with a tower that rises above the surrounding neighborhood. It exists today because the original medieval church, located in Frankfurt’s old town, was destroyed during a bombing raid in nineteen forty-four. Following the war, city planners cleared the remaining ruins to make way for a new road, and the church was relocated here to the Bahnhofsviertel district to serve the local population.
