Brauhaus Em Kölsche Boor is defined by a traditional façade decorated with flower boxes and lanterns, situated on the Eigelstein street near the historic city gate. This building has operated as a brewery and restaurant for over two hundred and sixty years, first appearing in records in seventeen sixty under the name Zum Elephanten. Its current name, adopted in nineteen oh seven, refers to a stone figure of a Cologne farmer carved into a niche of the nearby Eigelstein Gate.
