Kurländer Palais | Eventlocation

The Kurländer Palais sits in the center of Dresden, recognizable by its angled, zigzagging footprint that traces the historic street pattern. Built between seventeen twenty-eight and seventeen twenty-nine by the architect Johann Christoph Knöffel, it was commissioned by Count August Christoph von Wackerbarth. Architectural historians frequently identify this building as the first example of the Rococo style introduced to the city, marking a shift toward more asymmetric, comfortable interior arrangements.
