Brühl's Terrace

Brühl's Terrace is a high, stone-walled promenade stretching five hundred meters along the Elbe River, identified by the grand flight of stairs at its western end and the ornate buildings lining its path. Originally constructed in the sixteenth century as part of the city's military fortifications, the site was later gifted to Count Heinrich von Brühl, who transformed the austere ramparts into a private, garden-filled estate.
