Societaetstheater

The Societaetstheater is identifiable by a stone keystone above its entrance, which was carved in nineteen seventy-nine and depicts two theatrical masks. It is the oldest popular theater in Dresden, tracing its origins to seventeen seventy-six when a group of friends from the nobility and middle class formed a society to perform their own plays.
