The Archaeological Museum of Rhodes occupies a monumental, two-story stone building defined by its late Gothic architecture and a central courtyard lined with porticoes. This structure originated as the Great Hospital of the Knights of Saint John, a project commissioned by Grand Master Jean de Lastic in fourteen forty and completed under Grand Master Pierre d'Aubusson by fourteen eighty-nine.
