The Tower of Spain is a prominent defensive fortification along the southwestern section of the medieval town walls in Rhodes. Built by the Knights Hospitaller, this structure is a key component of the massive stone walls that once protected the city from Ottoman expansion. Its design features a significant terreplein, or embankment, constructed within the dry moat to deflect enemy cannon fire from the main wall.
