Shahid Dastgheyb Library of Shiraz

The Shahid Dastgheyb Public Library stands on Ayatollah Taleghani Street, directly facing the historic Vakil Mosque and Bathhouse. Originally established in nineteen forty-eight, this institution holds the distinction of being the oldest and most extensive public library in Shiraz. Its collections encompass more than one hundred and fifty thousand volumes, including historic journals and rare publications that reflect the deep cultural heritage of the Fars province.
