The Moshe Nahon Synagogue is marked by an unassuming, non-descript door on a narrow street in the Tangier medina that gives no hint of the monumental space hidden inside. Once you step through, you encounter a rectangular prayer hall divided by pillars into three naves, adorned with intricate, hand-carved woodwork and stucco calligraphy.
