PAARD

PAARD stands on the Prinsegracht as the primary venue for live music in The Hague. Occupying a site that once held a seventeenth-century girls' boarding school, the music hall operates today in a building redesigned in two thousand three by architect Rem Koolhaas. This renovation introduced a modular main auditorium with retractable balconies and a central stage, an arrangement intended to surround performers with their audience on all sides.
