The Neelsie Student Centre is the central hub of Stellenbosch University, distinguishable by its large, multi-level layout that functions as the primary commercial and social anchor for the campus. Officially named the Langenhoven Student Centre, it carries a name that honors the Afrikaans author Cornelis Jacobus Langenhoven, who was affectionately known to his friends by the nickname Neelsie.
