Café Casino

The Café Casino at Rúa do Vilar thirty-five is recognizable by its large windows overlooking the street and the elaborate wooden carvings that line its interior. Designed by the architect Manuel Pereiro Caeiro, this space began operating in eighteen seventy-three as a private recreational society known as the Casino de Caballeros. For over a century, it functioned as an exclusive meeting point for the city’s aristocrats and high society, who gathered here for literary evenings and social events.
