The Casa do Cabido is instantly recognizable by its elaborate, theatrical granite facade that overlooks the Praza de Praterías. It features two large gargoyles perched on the corners of its cornice and a surface adorned with geometric stone plates. Completed in seventeen fifty-eight, the building was designed by the architect Clemente Fernández Sarela to serve as a decorative backdrop for the cathedral square.
