The Praza da Quintana is a public square in Santiago de Compostela split into two distinct levels by a wide stone staircase. The upper tier is known as the Quintana de Vivos, while the lower area, the Quintana de Mortos, occupies land that served as the city’s medieval cemetery until the eighteenth century.
