San Jeronimo College

The San Jeronimo College, or Colexio de San Xerome, is identifiable by the prominent Romanesque-Gothic stone portico set into its main facade on the southern side of the Praza do Obradoiro. Founded in fifteen hundred and one by Archbishop Alonso the Third de Fonseca, the institution began as a residence for poor students and artists near the monastery of San Martiño Pinario.
