Pier 43 Promenade

The Pier Forty-Three Promenade stretches along the waterfront between Pier Forty-Three and Pier Forty-Five, marked by a series of seven distinct pergolas and ground murals depicting local marine life. This walkway occupies the historic Little Embarcadero, a site that once served as a bustling hub for the Belt Railroad. Built in nineteen fourteen, the area was essential for loading and unloading rail cars onto ferry boats, connecting San Francisco to the North Bay before the construction of the major bridges.
