Statue of Willie Mays

A nine-foot-tall bronze statue of Willie Mays stands at the main entrance of the ballpark at twenty-four Willie Mays Plaza. The figure depicts the baseball Hall of Famer in the middle of a swing, following through on his motion. Twenty-four palm trees surround the area, a deliberate tribute to the jersey number Mays wore throughout his career with the San Francisco Giants.
