Carnaval Mural

The Carnaval Mural, often called Golden Dreams of the Mission, spans twenty-four feet in height and seventy-five feet in width along the side of a residential building at the corner of twenty-fourth Street and South Van Ness Avenue. Painted in nineteen eighty-three by lead artist Daniel Galvez and a team of local collaborators, the mural depicts the high-energy revelry of San Francisco's inaugural Carnaval celebration from nineteen seventy-nine.
