Mission Dolores Park

Mission Dolores Park is defined by the steep, grassy slope that stretches between eighteenth and twentieth streets, offering a wide, panoramic view of the San Francisco skyline. While the park now draws thousands for its sunny atmosphere and public gatherings, its ground once held a different purpose. During the nineteenth century, these sixteen acres served as a burial site for two Jewish cemeteries before the city purchased the land in nineteen oh five.
