The bronze sculpture of Philo T. Farnsworth depicts a man holding a vacuum tube in one hand and a roll of papers in the other, standing beside a television set. Created by sculptor Lawrence Noble, this tribute resides on the grounds of the Letterman Digital Arts Center within the Presidio. It honors the inventor who developed the first fully functional, all-electronic television system.
