Black Point

Black Point is a prominent headland at the northern edge of Fort Mason, distinguished by a steep, wooded bluff that rises over one hundred feet above the San Francisco Bay. This area takes its name from the dense, dark-hued bay laurel and oak trees that once blanketed the hillside, contrasting sharply with the lighter coastal scrub of the surrounding dunes.
