The Green Parrot Bar sits at the corner of Whitehead and Southard Streets, identifiable by its open-air design where the windows and doors frequently stand wide to catch the island breeze. Operating at this site since eighteen ninety, the building began as a grocery store before serving sailors during the Second World War under the name the Brown Derby.
