Mel Fisher Maritime Museum

The Mel Fisher Maritime Museum occupies a Neoclassical building at two hundred Greene Street, originally constructed by the United States Navy between nineteen oh eight and nineteen ten as a storehouse for supplies and accounts. Its pale, sturdy exterior reflects its military origins, but inside, the space focuses on maritime archaeology and the recovery of colonial shipwrecks.
