The Freeman-Curry House

The Freeman-Curry House on Eaton Street is defined by its double porches and heavy Italianate brackets. Built in eighteen sixty-five by shipbuilder Samuel Filer, the residence was constructed primarily from Dade County heart pine, a material Filer chose for its resistance to the tropical climate and termites.
