The Southernmost Point of the Continental United States is marked by an anchored concrete buoy sitting at the corner of Whitehead and South Streets. Twelve feet tall and seven feet wide, the monument is painted in bright red, yellow, and black stripes and features the words "Ninety Miles to Cuba" across its front.
