The Kehoe House occupies a corner of Columbia Square, distinguished by extensive use of cast iron. The material forms exterior stairways, balustrades, fluted columns, and decorative gates, marking the connection between the house and the iron foundry business that brought wealth to William Kehoe. Completed in eighteen ninety-two, the red brick mansion was designed by architect DeWitt Bruyn as a family home for William, his wife Anne, and their ten children.
