The Trustees Theater is defined by its neon-lit Art Moderne marquee, which features three-quarters of a mile of cathode tubing along Broughton Street. Built in nineteen forty-six as the Weis Theater, the venue was designed by Atlanta architects McKendree Tucker and Albert Howell. It debuted as the first air-conditioned theater in Savannah, boasting one of the largest projection screens in the South at the time.
