The National Museum of African American Music occupies a prominent position at the Fifth plus Broadway complex in downtown Nashville. This institution stands out for its curved, modern glass facade that overlooks the busy intersection, marking the site where the old Nashville Convention Center once stood. It is the only museum in the country dedicated entirely to the preservation and celebration of the many music genres created, influenced, and inspired by African Americans.
