Federation Concert Hall

The Federation Concert Hall is defined by its distinctive oval exterior clad in brass sheeting, which was designed to weather over time and blend with the surrounding sandstone architecture of Hobart’s waterfront. Located on the site of a former gas company gasholder, the venue is structurally integrated with the adjacent Hotel Grand Chancellor. It opened in October two thousand and when the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra finally moved from its long-term home at the ABC Odeon Theatre.
