Walther Park

Waltherpark sits along the banks of the Inn River in Innsbruck, identified by its green spaces, sports field, and the statue of the medieval minnesinger Walther von der Vogelweide. This small urban oasis emerged during the river regulation works of the eighteen seventies, when the former landing site for river rafters was repurposed. The area was originally called Innpark before taking the name of the German poet whose monument was installed here in eighteen seventy-seven.
