Scotia Plaza is easily identified by its cladding of Napoleon Red granite, a stone imported from Sweden and polished in Italy that stands out against the more conventional colors of the surrounding Financial District. Completed in nineteen eighty-eight, this sixty-eight-storey postmodern tower was designed by WZMH Architects to serve as the international headquarters for Scotiabank.
