The building at the corner of Côté Street and de la Gauchetière West is defined by its stone masonry, which has been altered over nearly two centuries to include pagoda accents and the prominent red-and-gold signage of Wing Noodles Ltd. Originally constructed between eighteen twenty-six and eighteen twenty-seven, the structure served as the British and Canadian School of Montreal, designed by James O'Donnell, who was simultaneously working on the Notre-Dame Basilica.
