Palacio Elguín

The Palacio Elguín stands out along the Alameda, identifiable by its eclectic, three-story façade topped with a large, elaborate dome. Built in eighteen eighty-seven by the German architect Teodoro Burchard, the palace served as the private residence for Nazario Elguín, a wealthy mining entrepreneur who made his fortune as the first owner of the Los Bronces copper mine.
