Constitution Square

Constitution Square is a wide plaza occupying a full city block in the heart of Santiago. You can identify it by the imposing, long facade of the Palacio de La Moneda, which serves as the seat of the Chilean government and defines the southern boundary of the square. The space is surrounded by monumental government buildings, including the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Chile, which were organized into this civic district during the early twentieth century under the guidance of urban designer Karl Brunner.
