The Fuente Neptuno greets visitors at the base of Cerro Santa Lucía with a bronze statue of the Roman god of the sea sitting atop a circular fountain, his trident in hand. This monument is framed by two parallel staircases that ascend toward a triumphal arch, which is decorated with four Ionic columns.
