L’escalier de la Gare l’Est

The staircase at the Gare de l’Est, known as the double-flight staircase, sits along the rue d’Alsace on the western side of the station. It is a distinctive piece of infrastructure built in the Art Deco style, designed to bridge the vertical gap between the street level and the area near the neighboring Gare du Nord.
