The Petite Ceinture du seize is a mile-long stretch of forest-like greenery that carves a quiet, secluded path through the sixteenth arrondissement. While most of Paris bustles with traffic and urban density, this elevated walkway occupies the ghost of a nineteenth-century railway line. Here, the original steel tracks have been removed, replaced by a dense canopy of trees and winding trails that feel miles away from the nearby boulevards.
