Palais de Tokyo

The Palais de Tokyo is a sprawling Art Deco structure featuring a colonnade that opens toward the Seine. Built for the nineteen thirty-seven International Exhibition, it occupies a significant site on the right bank, originally designated as the palace for modern art. Its name is a relic of the nineteen twenties and thirties, derived from the former Avenue de Tokio that ran along the river at the time.
