Square de l'Amérique-Latine occupies a triangular space at the center of the Place de la Porte de Champerret in the seventeenth arrondissement. Created in nineteen thirty-one, this small park holds nine bronze sculptures arranged in a half-circle on stone pedestals. At the center of this group stands a life-size statue of the Venezuelan patriot Francisco de Miranda, a man who served as a general in the French army during the eighteenth century.
