La Contemporaine is a research library, archive, and museum dedicated to the history of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Located on the campus of the University of Paris Nanterre, the institution occupies a modern building designed by architect Bruno Gaudin. Its most striking visual characteristic is its position at the entrance to the university campus, where the structure integrates academic research with public exhibition spaces.
