A la Ville de Petrograd sits directly across the street from the onion-domed Cathedral Saint-Alexandre-Nevsky. This restaurant, located at thirteen Rue Daru, opened in nineteen twenty-four as a small grocery and bar. An officer of the guard of Tsar Nicholas the Second founded the establishment to provide a gathering space for the Russian emigrants who settled in this part of Paris following the nineteen seventeen revolution.
