The Avenue de Wagram is one of twelve wide, radial streets that emerge from the Place Charles de Gaulle. Stretching for one and a half kilometers, the avenue is defined by its consistent Haussmannian architecture, characterized by cut-stone façades and continuous balconies that give the thoroughfare its uniform, elegant appearance. It connects the monumental surroundings of the Arc de Triomphe to the residential districts near the Place de Wagram.
