The Johanneskirche is defined by its position on a peninsula in the Feuersee, with red brick walls and a spire that stops abruptly, leaving an unfinished silhouette against the sky. Designed by architect Christian Friedrich von Leins and completed in eighteen seventy-six, it holds the distinction of being the first church constructed in Stuttgart after the Reformation.
