Hegel House

The Hegel House stands at Eberhardstraße fifty-three, a sixteenth-century building distinguished by its stone facade and the arched doorway that marks its entrance. This is the birthplace of the philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, who was born here on August twenty-seventh, seventeen-seventy. He spent his first eighteen years in Stuttgart before moving on to academic life elsewhere in Germany, eventually dying in Berlin in eighteen-thirty-one.
