The Living Bridge spans the harbor basin in Düsseldorf with a low-slung, steel structure that reaches about one hundred and fifty meters in length. Its deck is covered in wood planks that mimic the feel of a ship’s deck, flanked by steps that double as seating. Glass railings provide an open line of sight across the water, and the entire construction integrates a three-story restaurant building.
