The Behrensbau, a five-story building with distinct brickwork along the Rhine embankment, serves as the home for the Haus der Geschichte Nordrhein-Westfalen. Originally designed by the architect Peter Behrens in nineteen ten, this building first functioned as the corporate headquarters for the Mannesmann pipe manufacturing company.
